Now that it is starting to get cooler outside the mind starts thinking about winter, which means ski time. I always find myself looking at my ski clothes and  jackets wondering how soon I can hit the slopes and where do I want to go to hit the slopes. As most of you know we are starting to come up on final payment on many trips which also means it’s time for the club to think about cutting the size of trips to reduce excess inventory. So if you plan on skiing this year you need to make you decision on many trips real soon. We have a great trip lineup so I want to encourage everyone to join your friends and come ski with us.

Crazy as it sounds it is already time to start finding next years officers. We have appointed a nominating committee to find you composed of Craig Campbell, Nolan Badeaux, Larry Hord, Chuck Pena, Ellen Eastham and the chair Barb Ehrlich. They have to report the new slate of candidates as of the January executive meeting so you can see they only have a couple of months to get things done. Hi skiers! As I mentioned awhile ago, I know that some of us actually have too many of those nice neck wallets used as name badges. We plan to order as many as we need for our ski participants this season, but don’t want to add to your growing collection if you don’t want one. So if you have one or two too many, please bring the gently used ones to the November meeting so we can put them to good use. We will collect them at the sign-in table.
