Where blue sky touches mountain tops and the bright sun warms your heart.  Add to that world class skiing comprising 155 trails on 2,300 skiable acres with a vertical rise of 3,398 feet.  It’s no wonder why the Texas Ski Cup Challenge Series, TSC Traditional trip is being held at Breckenridge, Colorado and is the one trip that you won’t want to miss.

 

Situated just west of the Continental Divide, Breckenridge, founded in 1959, offers a perfect winter retreat in a real mountain town.  The town rests at an elevation of 9,600 while its tallest peak soars to 12,998.  That’s where you’ll find the highest chair lift in North America, the Imperial Express Super Chair.  The town also boasts some of the finest restaurants and shopping, geared to all budgets.

 

Upon arrival at the Denver Airport via a two hour non-stop flight from Houston, you’ll board a super motor coach and in less than two hours (after a stop to Applejack’s for liquor and food supplies) arrive at the base of Peak 9 and the Beaver Run Resort. 

 

Reserved are two-bedroom condominiums equipped with queen-sized beds, fireplaces and balconies.  Fresh snow tracks are outside your door with ski-in, ski-out access to the Beaver Run Super Chair lift and the Quicksilver Six.   The resort will be home to some of the TSC’s activities and amenities include indoor/outdoor pools, hot tubs, gourmet dining including Spencer’s delicious unlimited soup/salad lunches and the Coppertop Bar/Cafe with nightly ski après drink specials and top-rated entertainment.

 

If downhill skiing is not your forte try cross-country skiing or snowshoeing at the Nordic Center which offers transferable passes and combined 52 miles of trails.  In addition, there are sleigh rides, dog sledding, gold mine tours, and even a casino shuttle!
