Bienvenidos to Argentina, here we will take in all of the stunning activities and breathtaking views that Ushuaia and Calafate have to offer! The adventure will begin in Buenos Aires, staying at a beautiful 4 star hotel located in the heart of the Recoleta District, which is in this amazing European like city. Here we will spend a night eating some great Argentine carne (steak) and sushi, exploring the endless nightlife and culture of Buenos Aires, which is world renown.
All right, for all of you that love to play in the snow & glaciers of southern Patagonia and experience some of Argentina\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s finest culture, this is the trip for you! We will start the tour off in the cultural metropolis of Buenos Aires, and then it’s off to Calafate to visit the Glaciers National Park and the southern most city in the world, Ushuaia. This is the “Land of Fire” or better known as Tierra del Fuego, located at the end of the earth.
Ushuaia is known for its snowy weather (which we love!), Antarctica Expeditions, the famous Beagle Canal that Charles Darwin once crossed, working Estancias (which we can visit), dog sledding, fishing industry, and possibly some of the most stunning mountains in the world. Ushuaia is the southern most city in the world and one of the most wild places on earth!
In Ushuaia, the mountains rise directly out of the ocean and tower 6,000-7,000 feet (1,800-2,300 meters). There are incredible excursion options, as well as the most southerly ski resort in the Andes, El Cerro Castor. Did we mention all the exciting night life & some of the most delicious cuisine (Cordero- lamb and Centolla- king crab) found anywhere, El Fin del Mundo history museum, Tierra del Fuego National Park, and the incredible Martial Glacier (where the backcountry skiing options are limitless and the views are breathtaking!).
We will take you to places that you never knew existed, this is the place, not too many other places even come close to being this wild!!! Remember this is the southernmost point before going to Antarctica and the famous Cape Horn! We will have one full week exploring the mountains on skis, dog sleds, and hiking through some of the most beautiful forests alongside the coast (not to mention navigating our way through the pristine waters of the Bay of Ushuaia and the Beagle Canal. Come join us on this epic adventure, one that will truly last a lifetime!
